Sweet Potato Fries
I make these a lot and love them. The trick to crispier "chips" is to space them out pretty well on the sheet (don't crowd).
Prep Time: 5 minutes - Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Preparation: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2 inch strips or wedges and toss in the oil and salt. Arrange in a single layer on a nonstick baking sheet. Place in oven for 30 minutes, turning once.
Sweet Cinnamon Variation:
Ingredients:
Preparation: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2 inch strips. Mix the cinnamon sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the wedges. Arrange in a single layer on a nonstick baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The paper will help keep these from sticking since the recipe doesn't use oil. Bake in oven for 30 minutes, turning once.
